Emergency Service Hotline Now Active!

How do you improve upon the best customer service in the EBeam market? For PCT the answer is "you launch a 24/7 emergency service hotline".
When a customer calls the hotline by dialing 1-866-99-EBEAM, an operator will contact a trained BroadBeam service technician who will respond directly to the customer within an hour. The on-call service technician will provide full emergency phone support. PCT requests that customers please have all machine service and maintenance manuals and the machine number available before calling the hotline. This service will be free of charge.
The hotline is intended to be for emergency use only. All other routine maintenance and non-emergency inquiries can still be directed to PCT at 1-563-285-7411 during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. Central Standard Time). PCT offers a wide range of spare parts that can be viewed at www.teampct.com. BroadBeam technicians are also available for on-site service calls. Customers can request quotes and access other information about the products and services PCT offers by visiting the Web site or E-mailing Tammy Weisrock at tmweisrock@teampct.com. .

PCT and ercis Sign Distributor Agreement

PCT Engineered Systems, LLC has appointed ercis, SARL as their exclusive distributor for supplying BroadBeam electron beam processors to the coil coating market in Europe. For PCT this agreement represents commitments to both the application of electron beam curing technology in the coil coating market and to serving the European market. Ercis expects to provide additional value to their customers through this close working relationship with a leading supplier of electron beam equipment.
The companies share enthusiasm for adoption of electron beam (EB) curing on metal coil coating lines. Coil coaters in Europe face many challenges including competition from low labor cost countries, increasing energy costs, pressure on VOC emission levels and taxes on carbon dioxide emissions. EB technology offers significant benefits including productivity increases, reduced production costs, elimination of solvents and reduced emissions.
PCT has been delivering automation and custom equipment solutions to major metals producers since 1986 and acquired the BroadBeam EB technology in 2003. The Ercis group offers extensive expertise in radiation curing technologies, paint formulations and the metal processing industry. The combined process and equipment expertise provided by the two groups in unmatched in the industry. The companies offer comprehensive support including process analysis, project justification, project management, equipment supply, and service contracts.

RadTech Europe Conference Report

PCT exhibited at the recent RadTech Europe Conference in beautiful (but chilly) Vienna, Austria. We were glad to meet many people investigating EB technology. We were also glad to renew acquaintances with many of our European friends.
The message of the conference was clear; radiation curing is expanding. Intensive work is in progress to develop industrially viable solutions for new applications, especially in automotive clearcoats, or for plastic substrates. And, as the three-day conference and exhibition held from 13 to 15 November showed, the energy-efficiency advantage of UV/EB techniques is growing increasingly important.
