Title: Network Administrator.
Total years w/PCT? 10 years.
Family: Married to Jay for 15 years.
Educational background, work experience? Bachelor of Science Degree from Iowa State University, 1970. My very first job was working for my father at his small town newspaper in Northwest Iowa – this journalism training has played a part in every job I have ever had – it seems I am always doing newsletters and now web design. I worked there during junior high school through high school and part of my college years. Before coming to PCT, I worked in banking for 25 years – 20 years at Citizens Federal here in Davenport with my last position being the Vice President of the computer department.
What's been the most satisfying part of your job? Finding a solution for a problem.
What's been the most challenging thing about your job? Finding a solution for a problem.
What's in your CD player right now? Tim McGraw's "Live Like You Were Dying".
Favorite vacation destination? This is a tough one – I have several favorites. I’ve skied in Europe and Canada, but my favorite place to ski is in the Colorado Rocky Mountains -- Aspen/Snowmass, Steamboat, Breckenridge or Keystone. For warm weather vacations, I’d say my favorite is a Caribbean cruise that stops in the Grand Caymans and Key West or just going to Key West for the weekend. I have five brothers and sisters so visiting family and extended family is also high on the list.
Pet Peeve: "Contact your system administrator" popup messages -- especially when I get them on my own computer!
Any challenging/interesting projects coming up? Am in the midst of doing a major upgrade for our project accounting software and our design department is gearing up for the latest 2007 release of Promis-e for AutoCad and we will also be updating the HR software programs.
