Paul Nelson Appointed Manufacturer’s Representative

PCT Engineered Systems is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Nelson as a Manufacturer’s Representative for the company. Paul has an extensive background in the printing industry and is well acquainted with the benefits of applying EBeam technology. He is active in trade associations including The Packaging and Label Gravure Association Global (PLGA Global) and The Paperboard Packaging Council. Pilot Line Improvements Support High Speed Trials

PCT's EBeam Pilot Line has been improved to accomplish coating and curing at speeds of up to 900 feet /min (275 m / min). This extended capability can be used to confirm the benefits of EB curing at or near production speeds. PCT is committed to supporting our customers' desires for faster speed to market with new products using EBeam technology. Now we are also prepared to demonstrate the benefits of EB's nearly instantaneous curing speed and how this translates to increased line speed.

CPP Expo Coming to Chicago
PCT Will Exhibit in RadTech Pavilion

PCT Engineered Systems will be exhibiting at the upcoming Converting & Package Printing Expo in Chicago. CPP will be co-located with Pack Expo and Process Expo. It will be held at McCormick Place in Chicago from November 9 – 13. PCT's booth number is 9543 and will be part of a RadTech pavilion. Two Upcoming Radiation Safety Classes at Fowler Associates

An Accelerated Radiation Safety Officer Course will be offered October 7, 2008 at Fowler Associates in Moore, South Carolina. This is an 8 hour, fast paced class. For more information go to Radiation Safety Officer Training Course.

Also scheduled is a 40 Hour Radiation Safety Officer Certification Course from October 13-17, 2008. This is a 5 day long, information filled class. The agenda for this class is found at Certification Course Agenda.

Upcoming Events

"Radiation Curing: Ultraviolet Light and Electron Beam Technology" will be held October 13th to 15th in Amsterdam. The course will cover both basic concepts and new developments in this technology. Details are available at www.cfpa.org.

AIMCAL will hold its Fall Technical Conference from October 19th to the 22nd in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Dr. Steve Lapin will be presenting "Electron Beam Technology for Converting Applications". www.aimcal.org.
